Lead Teacher
Philippa is the caring lead teacher in the preschool. Philippa loves animals and spends her afternoons looking after a variety of creatures, which she often brings into the classroom. She is working on a qualification in personal training and enjoys helping the children to be active. Philippa was just 16 years old when she joined MCK and she fell in love with the work of nurturing the spirits of young children.

Michelle
Head of School
Michelle is the passionate head of school who truly believes in the Montessori approach, so much so that she has dedicated her life to bringing the method to more children and adults in South Africa. Michelle started MCK as a preschool, when she was just 18 and has since qualified and opened the Elementary School where she continues to share her love of learning with young children. Michelle is a published author and loves to use story telling in the classroom.
Bettie
Teacher
Bettie is the calm and steady influence in the Elementary class. Bettie started as an assistant over ten years ago and then qualified as a teacher. Bettie loves to guide the children to choose work and uses a calm approach to help them find their way, especially during exciting and loud science experiments. Bettie is quiet but enthusiastic and she loves to help the children master "tricky" work. Bettie is always eager to learn and loves to help the children discover things about the world.
