Enrolling your Child
At Montessori Country Kids, we pride ourselves in maintaining a small class ratio, ensuring one-on-one attention for each child.
Therefore, there are considerations in determining enrolment, which include a balance of the age levels and of boys and girls, within each classroom.
Please note that at this stage we will only accept children into the Elementary School if they have been in a Montessori 3-6 environment for longer than a year. We will require a letter or report from the applicable Montessori school.
How does Admission work?
Complete the “School Tour” booking form.
We will contact you to organise a date and time for the tour, after which we will arrange to do an in-house assessment with your child.
This assessment will vary depending on the child’s age, but will include practical tasks and a parent interview.
During the assessment process, please supply copies of the following documents:
- Child’s most recent school report card (if applicable)
- Child’s birth certificate
- Parent’s identity document/valid driver’s license
- Child’s immunisation record
- Any reports or assessments regarding the child’s behaviour and learning
- Any relevant supporting documents
As part of the assessment, please complete the supplied learner profile. After the assessment is completed, you will be contacted to confirm if there is a place available in the required class for your child.
If the application is successful, the school will inform you.
There will then be a seven day period for you to pay all the relevant fees (registration fee, equipment fee, and 1st month’s school fees) using your child’s full name as a reference and the word ‘Registration’.
Once proof of payment has been received, the appropriate start date will be arranged. Please speak to the Head if you have any concerns about separation anxiety as we do have a system in place for children who need a more gradual separation.
Please keep the school informed, in writing, of any changes in address or contact details.
